Go bald in support of those touched by cancer or simply join the American Cancer Society in celebrating our 2009 shavees!

You are cordially invited to attend the 8th annual Shave to Save event on May 7, 2009 at The Uptown Theater. Plus, your presence is greatly anticipated at our Wine Tasting & Auction Event on April 16, 2009 at the Town Pavilion Rotunda for a pre-Shave celebration to honor our 2009 shavees. 

Shave to Save is one of the American Cancer Society’s most exciting and unique fundraising events and the only event that donates 100 percent of its proceeds to the Society’s Hope Lodge in Kansas City, a FREE place to stay for cancer patients in the Metro during treatment. Shave to Save is an event where men and women volunteer to shave their heads in honor or memory of someone that has been touched by cancer. 

To date, Shave to Save has had more than 70 shavees and contributed more than $750,000 to the operating budget of the Hope Lodge. The 2009 Shave to Save events will feature great supporting guests from the Kansas City community including Shave to Save guest emcee Gary Lezak from NBC Action News and Wine Tasting & Auction host Dave Fogel from Star 102.
