We are excited to announce that the proceeds from the 2018 ride will be put towards our transportation program that has a critical need in Northwest Indiana.  No patient should have to worry about how they will get to their lifesaving treatments.  Hop on that bike to ride and you will be helping to supply a ride to a patient in need. 

Route  This year there will be four routes to choose from.  There will be an 8 mile family friendly route, 25 mile, 45 mile and 60 mile routes.

Athlete Amenities  Riders will receive a goodie bag packed with freebies and information on the Mission of the American Cancer Society.

Registration Fees  The registration fee per rider is a non-refundable $50.  Space is limited Sign Up Today!

What to Expect

CHECK IN   7:00 am.  Please check in at the registeration table to get your rider packet and goodie bag.  You will find a copy of the map in your rider packet, but you are also encouraged to download a QR reader app on your cell phone to directly link into the map for your smart devices. 

BREAKFAST & LUNCH  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  Breakfast will be served prior to the ride and will include a variety of breakfast sandwiches, snack bars, fruit  and water.  Upon your return you will find a variety of sandwiches, chips, cookies, snack bars, fruit, water and pop.

REST STOPS  There are rest stops located at approximately the 12, 21 and 31 mile markers for the 25-60 mile routes.  There will also be a rest stop for the 8 mile route.  The 12, 21 and 31 mile stops will include, water, gatorade, peanut butter/jelly sandwiches, snack bars and fruit and restrooms.   The rest stop for the 8 mile route will include the above with the exception of the rest room. 

HELMETS  Helmets are MANDATORY for the ride.  Please be sure to bring yours with you.  Your safety is our utmost concern.

 

Fundraising Commitment:
We challenge each participant to set a goal of $300. We have many tools to help you succeed and will be here to support you along the way. 

Fundraising Deadline:
All fundraising money, including matching gifts, must be postmarked on or before July 31st to receive your incentive apparel.  Once the order is placed it will take approximately 6 weeks to receive.  You will be notified when the jerseys arrive. 

Incentives:
Go the extra mile with your fundraising, and earn Gears for Hope riding apparel!  Those riders that raise $300 will earn a cycling jersey. There is a regular and survivor option.  Those riders that raise $750 will also earn a pair of cycling shorts and riders that raise $1,500+ will also earn a jacket.
