What to Expect

The Sole Burner - Jackson County is an American Cancer Society event that raises funds for ALL types of cancer to support the mission of the American Cancer Society by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, & fighting back. 

Sole Burner events focus on reducing your risks for cancer by encouraging a healthy lifestyle – eating well & getting active!   

This event is a pledge-based, 5K FUN RUN. It is a family-friendly cancer awareness event for everyone.  This is an amazing event that brings the community together to celebrate our area cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and empowers participants to create a world free from the pain and suffering caused by cancer!

9:00am – Opening Ceremony, Survivor Recognition, Walk/Run Begins

WHERE:  Lunda Community Park, Black River Falls, WI

WHO:  Everyone is welcome!  Athletes and non-athletes join teams of individuals representing clubs, organizations, neighborhoods and families at this fun, community-oriented event.

WHY: The dollars raised at Sole Burner - Jackson County helps support American Cancer Society programs & services for cancer patients & families, research, education, and advocacy efforts - locally, statewide, and nationally. Over the last 4 years, the Sole Burner - Jackson County walk/run has raised over $124,000 for the American Cancer Society!

Fundraising Commitment

We challenge each participant to set a goal of $100. We have many tools to help you succeed and will be here to support you along the way.

Fundraising Deadline
All fundraising money, including matching gifts, must be postmarked on or before September 14 to qualify for awards, prizes and team/individual rankings.
